The F.M. Alexander technique
 with Kate Kelly

The Alexander technique has sometimes been called ‘Relaxation in activity’.

It is taught one to one with gentle hands on guidance and verbal instruction. It is not a therapy but a very effective self help method.

The technique is applied in many ways  to every day living  and is used to:

*Inspire the creative mind

*Secure poise and confidence

*Prevent  the physical and mental habits that cause harmful stress and tension

*Safeguard against back and neck strain

*Increase feelings of calm and happiness

I give lessons to people from all walks of life

and I will be happy to  teach you whatever your reason

for seeking out the FM Alexander technique.

In  a lesson we work together to find the best way

you can approach movement and reaction

without causing undue muscle tension.

You do not need to wear any special clothes

and no physical endurance is involved!

After a first lesson you decide if you wish to continue and we can discuss the number of lessons you will need in order

to learn the technique to apply it to every day life.

Twice weekly for a period of 5 or 6 weeks is the best way to begin,

in order to  change the un noticed habit patterns that are

not helpful to you,  continuing weekly for a total course

of between 26-30 lessons.

This series of lessons aims to make you independent

of your teacher by the end of it so you can

bring the technique into your every day life on your own.

Top up lessons are of course always available

at any later date, if needed.

I  teach  in either English or French
